SIFAX Group recently hosted orphan children of the Ajoke Ayisat Afolabi Foundation (AAAF) Orphanage Home.

The children, more than 50 in number, had a fun-filled day as they were conducted round the company’s facilities at the head office and Terminal C, Tin Can Island Port, both in Apapa, Lagos.

AAAF was founded in 2008 by Dr. Taiwo Afoolabi, Managing Director of SIFAX Group, in memory of his late mother, Alhaja Ayisat Ajoke Afolabi.

Mr. Oliver Omajuwa, Head, Corporate Affairs & Marketing, said hosting the orphans was part of the company’s efforts at giving back to the society, especially the deprived and less privileged.

In his remarks at the event, Barrister Ezekiel Ajewole, Special Assistant, Administration to the Group Managing Director, who represented the SIFAX CEO, disclosed that the company has spent about six million naira to improve conditions of widows and less privileged children in the last one year.

He urged the children to take good advantage of the opportunity that the foundation offers and further promised that employment would be provided for some of the children after completing their education.

The Coordinator of the Foundation, Pastor Emmanuel Alao, expressed gratitude to SIFAX Group for the reception and the support over the years.
