Dr. Taiwo Afolabi has charged the company’s management team to display “ownership disposition” in their approach as the company begins the execution of her 5-year strategic plan.
He said such attitudinal change and a different mentality would greatly help in the fulfilment of the Quantum Leap journey.
The Group Executive Vice Chairman said this at the 2020 Management Retreat organized for management staff across all the subsidiaries. In his opening remarks at the retreat held in Lagos, Afolabi, who was represented by Mr. Adekunle Oyinloye, noted that the strategies that had worked for the company in the past might be inadequate to tackle emerging challenges in the business environment, adding that the Quantum Leap project has also made it mandatory for the team and all staff to rethink their strategy.
In his own remarks, Mr. Adekunle Oyinloye, Group Managing Director, said 2020 was a crucial year, being the beginning of the Quantum Leap project. He re-emphasized the key objectives of the project and urged all staff to show more commitment and dedication.
Various speakers including Mr. Soji Oyawoye, a renowned HR consultant and Mr. Lanre Olusola, Nigeria’s foremost business coach took participants through various sessions on strategy, sales & marketing, and nutrition & health.
The newly engaged IT and Financial consultants, Automata and PwC were also on hand to make presentations on the scope of their works while subsidiaries budget for 2020 were presented for management considerations.
