STEVEDORING
A stevedore is a person who works at loading or unloading a ship.
The Port has a first-class reputation for cargo handling. The in-house workforce offers flexible working patterns to suit all commercial needs.
This highly skilled workforce is supported by a comprehensive pool of modern handling equipment, to ensure an efficient and reliable service with heavy lift cranage of up to 100 tonnes.
Our crews are at your service 24-hours a day, seven days a week.
A multinational and multilingual management team, and specially trained dockside supervisors with the ability and flexibility to solve problems have earned us a reputation for responsive services, second to none.
The heaviest lift capacity in our Port is a fleet of cranes with capabilities up to 300 tonnes, scores of various fork lifts, tractors, yard hustlers, and other specialized equipment – ready and waiting dockside to handle your heaviest, your most delicate, and your most valuable cargo, fast and efficiently.
A sophisticated computerized tracking system keeps traffic operations streamlined, providing up to the minute status on container movements.
The addition of "SHIPS" container software program enables us to increase the efficiency of our operations by allowing stowage planning of container vessels well in advance of the arrival of the vessel at the quay.
We are situated in the heart of the port, close to our operational base, from where we control the loading and discharge of a wide range of cargoes.
