SIFAX BOSS, DR. TAIWO AFOLABI, MON, APPOINTED WORLD CONSULS ASSOCIATION BOSS!!!
Dr. Taiwo Afolabi is a silent achiever and business colossus who keeps a rising profile without making “noise” about his legendary achievements.

On 1st July, 2010, he was appointed the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Djibouti in Nigeria by H.E Ismail Omah Guelleh, President of the Republic of the Djibouti and on 22nd July, 2010; he was conferred with the national honor of Member of the Order of Niger (MON).

The Comptroller General of Nigeria Customs Service, Alh. Dikko Abdullahi, recently paid a courtesy call to the Tin-Can Island Port to ascertain the physical level of development in the port.

ADDITIONAL 5 NOS. RTGS ARRIVE PORTS & CARGO TERMINAL.
The management of Ports and Cargo Handling Services limited, the ports operation arm of SIFAX GROUP, Nigeria yesterday took delivery of 5 nos. additional RTGs at the terminal at about 12:30 GMT. Incidentally, the vessel (Happy Rover) bearing these equipment was coming to berth on the same day the new Managing Director of Nigeria Ports Authority(Malam Habib Abdullahi) team paid a courtesy call at Tin Can Island Port; the team actually watched the vessel coming in to berth at the terminal laden with the 5 nos. RTGs on board.

PORTS & CARGO COMMISSIONS NEW RTGs, HARBOUR CRANES & CONTAINER HANDLERS.
On Tuesday, the management of Ports & Cargo Handling Services Ltd. (the port operation arm of SIFAX GROUP) commissioned the first batch of brand new RTGs (10nos), 2 harbor cranes and 3 empty container handlers, in addition to the bevy of state of the art equipment available at the terminal.

Sifax and Social Responsibility: Sifax Group recently hosted orphan children of the Ajoke Ayisat Afolabi Foundation (AAAF) orphanage home. The children, more than 50 in number had a fun-filled day as the terminal operator took them round its head office in Apapa and thereafter toured them around the port where they are operating at RORO port in Tin Can Island, Lagos. The Managing Director of Sifax Group, Dr. Afolabi is also the founder of the AAAF orphanage home, which he set up in memory of his late mother, Alhaja Ajoke. Spokesman of the Sifax Group, Mr. Oliver Omajuwa told newsmen that hosting the orphans was part of the company’s activities to add smiles to the faces of motherless children.
