INTERNATIONAL PORT OPERATIONS
The Port of Port and Cargo Handling Services is a modern port capable of handling your cargo shipping requirements. We handle the usual range of cargoes and are well experienced in steel products, rice, container, and general cargo.
Vessels up to 3000 tonnes DWT can be handled on the Wharf, with the ability of handling three ships simultaneously.
We also have an infrastructure set up for the forwarding of landed goods from vessels 24hrs a day.
Port Facilities
Port and Cargo handling Services Limited has over 750m of quay deck apron which includes berths 6, 7a, 7b and 8 of the Tin Can Island Port facilities. Our berths are equipped to handle Containers and General cargoes.
The port’s dry-bulk facilities have flexible operational arrangements, with some fully dedicated to a particular user and others sharing wharf facilities with non-bulk trades.
The Terminal has a large open space for container stacking and storage of general cargoes.
Transit Shed
Sheds 4 and 5. They are equipped with a 25 tonnes SWL overhead crane.
Craneage
A X tonne SWL crane is available on-site and is owned and operated by the port.
Forklifts
A range of forklifts (with a similar SWL to the crane) are owned and operated by the port.
Workshop
We are equipped with modern Massive Mechanical & Maintenance workshop.
